Game Day - Hair Routine - Short Curls
Isis, a current NFL Cheerleader, takes us through her game day hair routine. Her tips and tricks on styling her short curls!
“I started dance and baton twirling when I was 3. I only transitioned into dance and cheerleading in high school/college. Honestly, it has not always been a glorious road.
Being raised by a single mother, with very little access to quality training, was a huge hurdle but I kept pushing. I started investing in my dance career when I got to college!
I trained more, transferred to UNLV as a dance major, and surrounded myself with amazing dancers. All people who I truly feel helped me accomplish this goal.
I auditioned for the LA Rams Cheerleaders during my senior year of college and made it. It was my first time trying for a pro cheer team!”

STAY TRUE TO YOU!
It took me awhile to figure out how to wear my hair in a way that made me feel confident and beautiful, without society’s standards of what that is.
But once I did, baby, it was a sense of freedom like no other! Knowing I am accepted in my truest, purest form, is such an amazing feeling. We should accept nothing less!
Do what makes you feel your best self no matter what!

They are such an amazing group of humans! We have a team bond like none other and it is truly a blessing to be surrounded by such genuine people!
Biggest piece of advice to others dancers following in a similar journey as you?
As I mentioned earlier, staying true to yourself is what is most important, especially for a professional cheerleading team like the LA Rams Cheerleaders.
We celebrate each other’s individuality and work so much in the community, that being someone relatable and honest is huge for us!
